About Us

Triple the fun....Triple the Trouble!  The Girlz Rule trio originated at Midwinter Meltdown in 2012.  Since then, they've been touring the county, captivating audiences with their powerful and harmonizing vocals.  Heather, Kristie, & Lynley will keep you on your toes (or heels) the entire show!

Heather Vidal

Heather's journey down the musical path began at the age of 15 when her father bought her a Morris Classical nylon string guitar.

By the time Heather was a senior in high school she knew she wanted to attend college as a voice major and chose to conduct her studies at West Chester University (WCU).

Upon graduating from college, Heather quickly began to realize that teaching in a public school, the usual path for someone with her degree, just was not her cup of tea. She exchanged her degree for some travelling papers and went on the road with a successful rock and roll band, Alter Ego, touring with them for three years.

Heather met Dave Huxta during a festival and there was an immediate musical attraction.  In 1998 Heather and Dave ventured out on their own taking the name Copper Sky the acoustic duo known today.

Heather does have a life off the stage and away from performing as well. She is passing on the art of playing guitar, writing music, performing and of course vocals to another generation of potential musicians as a private piano, guitar and vocal instructor from her home in south central Pennsylvania. As much as Heather takes pleasure in performing, she finds sharing the art of music with her students just as rewarding, and between the two avenues, she has found a new satisfaction in the music industry.

Lynley Tolls

Lynley Tolls, also occasionally known as "Lola", comes from the less than tropical Cleveland, Ohio. Her performing actually started with Broadway musicals and numerous stage and dance shows. A ten year resident of the Hampton Roads, Virginia area, Lynley was Dance Captain aboard the Spirit of Norfolk for five years. During this time she also performed with Virginia Beach Little Theater and Commonwealth Musical Stage. She also choreographed a production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" for the Hampton Dinner Theater.

Lynley studied dance at Old Dominion University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts/ Dance, and taught Jazz, Tap, and Ballet part time in the Hampton Roads area. We hear that she is as demanding in the dance studio as she is on the stage.

Along the way she was hired part-time by a Tidewater, VA based show band. After bothering them for an entire year the leap was made to full-time, and Lynley has made entertaining her living ever since. Travel to exotic places and shopping wherever possible are two more of her claims to fame and two of the many reasons that Lynley is in the entertainment business. She also is an award winning vocalist with several wins including Beachfront Radio, The MEONA awards, and 9Volt Magazine.

In addition to her vocal talents in the Girlz Rule Band, Lynley plays lead and double second steel pans, congas, and bass guitar with her husband in the well-known trop rock band; The Calypso Nuts!

Kristie Bobal

Nashville, TN native Kristie Bobal has been surrounded by Music all her life.

In college, at the University of Tennessee, Kristie began singing with local hero Tall Paul which led to them touring together and eventually the recording of her 'absolutely perfect in every way' CD "Blissful Magic Moment" and their duo CD "Covers"

From church choir to college bars to concert stage, Kristie's passionate vocal delivery has always attracted people to her songs. She can go from a "pin drop" quiet ballad to a raucous Rock anthem with equal ease and confidence. Her music has taken her all across the US as well as throughout the Carribbean and Europe.

In her spare time, Kristie collects bottlecaps to create her unique style of bottle cap art which is available at select art shows and music shows.
